The Department of Business Administration, Economics, and Law was created in January of 2009. On the first of January 2009, the deliberative assembly for Business Administration, Economics, and Law elected the departmental assembly and the head of department, who will occupy these positions until 31 March 2011. The new department was created through the amalgamation of four formerly separate institutes, including Economics, Business and Business Education, Law, and Economics Education. Each retains its independence and identity while benefitting from the integration of resources offered by the current arrangement. The department distinguishes itself through innovative research and attracting external funding, as well as through its structured bachelor’s and master’s programmes, modern administrative structure, and its scientifically oriented PhD programme.
